This weeks Friday blog is about A Tribe Called Quest's recent documentary Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels Of A Tribe Called Quest. Since the first press release about the Michael Rapaport directed documentary we have been eagerly waiting for a chance to watch it... so when it was released on DVD a couple of weeks back we picked up a copy straight away. If you're a Tribe fan or just a fan of hip-hop and music in general, this is an incredible insight into the inner circle of one of hip-hops most innovative and influential groups. The documentary covers their beginnings as young rappers in 1980's Queens, New York up to their break up and reunion.
