Finally, Drifter, one of Macbeths key retailers in Bali, has got some room to stretch its legs. Bali’s souliest surf shop re-opened this week with nearly three-times its previous capacity, including a full café, free wifi, more boards, more art, more books, dvds and all the epic details that have made the Seminyak shop Indonesia’s premier surf shop destination.

The store itself is a living showcase of careful detail and thoughtful design. “To us, this is more than just a surf shop,” said co-owner Tim Russo. “Drifter is a part of the surfing experience itself, so we wanted to be respectful of that.

Going to Drifter is like part of the Indo surf experience,” said the Bali-based editor of Surfing Magazine, Nathan Myers. “You stop by for a bar of wax or pair a shades and you leave inspired for your next surf mission. And now that it’s bigger, you’re just gonna leave that much more stoked.
