Movember with Tony Burke Jnr...

Our good friend Tony Burke Jnr from Warner Music Ireland is growing out his tash for Movember and he's going to keep us updated along the way... here's his first blog with some more information about this awesome cause and how you can get involved!

I’m not the really blog type of guy but when I was approached by Macbeth to do a weekly blog for Movember about my facial hair I was totally up for it. I instantly felt it was a great opportunity to get the word out about Movember and the awareness of such a great cause.

Here is some information about Movember and what its all about:

Movember, the month formerly known as November, now dedicated to growing moustaches and raising awareness and funds for men’s health; specifically prostate cancer. Men simply donate their top lip to the cause for 30 days in an effort to help change the face of men’s health. Their Mo will spark conversations, and no doubt generate some laughs; all in the name of raising vital awareness and funds for cancer’s affecting men.

Why am I concerned about men’s health?
1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime

This year more than 2,000 new cases of the disease will be diagnosed

1 in 3 men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime

In Ireland only 26% of men go to their GPs for regular check ups

All I want to do is raise as much money as I can for this charity and to make sure it can continue to create awareness, research, educational and support programs which would otherwise not be possible.

I invite you to join me by registering to grow or by donating to my growth remember every little amount counts.
If you fancy joining my team we can be found under “Four and a half men”

For more information it can be found here:

So as its only day 3 on growing the “TASH” ain’t much to report but here is a photo of the start.........28 more days to mo!
