The Front Bottoms: Notes from the Road Entry 5

The first show of the first tour The Front Bottoms went on we played an open mic night at The Space in CT. We played to 10 people at most. Now on this tour we went back and the show has sold out weeks ago. It's pretty exciting for us and we couldn't ask for anything better. The show was a hot one. We played with old friends in the Guru, and we made new friends in The Wild (who played the next four shows with us).  Following the show at the space we played World Cafe Live in Philly. We played there in February opening for Bad Books, and selling it out as a headliner was amazing. Philly is always so good to us, so that show was a ton of fun. Next we played Webster Hall in NYC with our good friends Bad Books and the Wild. It was awesome to play with Bad Books again and amazing to play a legendary venue like Webster Hall. The last show of our four day leg with the Wild was in Boston at the Sinclair, a great new venue with delicious food and amazing staff. The french fries are to die for.

After the Boston show, we had a few days home in Jersey before starting our dates with Tiny Moving Parts. This is the last leg of the tour, and it has been pretty crazy so far. Tiny Moving Parts are great great guys who are super fun to hang out with. At our first show with them at the Ottobar in Baltimore, one of the first thing these guys did was invite us to shotgun a beer. We could tell it was going to be a fun tour. After the Ottobar we had a few festival dates, like I Got Brains in Virginia, The Jersey Shore Fest in Lakewood with our friends Brick + Mortar, River City Extension, and Darrin Bradburry. After the SOS Fest in North Carolina, we played Skully's in Columbubs, Ohio, where we all shredded some sweet skateboard tricks on the outdoor patio. We've gotten really close with the boys in Tiny Moving Parts. Dylans birthday was at  midnight when we played the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis. the first time we've ever been to the city. The crowd was great and we got to hang out with about six cats while the employees cooked us a delicious dinner. After the show, we found a hotel with a 24 hour pool and hot tub and ate pizza with Tiny Moving Parts. After the Hoosier Dome, we played the End in Nashville. That venue is great and always treats us super nicely. There were a lot of friends there and it was a fun time. We played in a pool hall the next night, the original venue had been shut down so our show got moved to a different spot. And after two months all good things must end. And we couldn't think of a better place than Richmond Va to end it all.

110% the best experience of our lives. We can't thank everyone enough!! CAN'T WAIT TO BE BACK!!!! THE PARTY CONTINUES.

love tfb
