(“Macbeth”) is committed to providing our customers with a secure website to shop and will only collect the personal information that is necessary to process your order or provide you with other services as described below.

What information do we need when you place an order?
We will ask you to provide:

  • payment method
  • credit card account number and expiration date (if applicable)
  • name (as it appears on credit card)
  • "bill to" address (as it appears on your credit card statement)
  • “ship to” address (if different from billing address)
  • daytime phone number
  • e-mail address

 

Subscription Payments

As a Premium Subscriber on macbeth.com, you will be asked to provide a credit card. Subscription services require credit/debit card payment. Although the subscription price may be quoted on a monthly basis, your card will be billed quarterly, with a one-quarter minimum. Your billing period starts with the date you subscribe and extends for three months. Your card will be automatically charged at the start of each three-month billing period until you notify us of your wish to cancel your subscription. All account management is done through your MY MODLIFE page. To access this page, please log in to www.macbeth.com and choose MY MODLIFE from the menu. Then click on MY SUBSCRIPTIONS to access all of your subscription information. To cancel a subscription, simply click on "Cancel a subscription" and then choose the one you'd like to cancel.

Saving Information

As our customer, we confidently assure that your personal information is transmitted over secure servers. We only ask for the information necessary to process your order. When we process a credit card transaction, your information is forwarded directly to our credit card processor for authorization. We guarantee you will only pay for authorized items that you have ordered.

You will have the option of saving this information in our secure system for future purchases. The information is stored in the form of a "cookie" in your computer. Even though you need cookies to be enabled to make an online purchase, it is not necessary to save information via cookie if you choose not to.

Macbeth collaborates with government agencies and security organizations to prevent fraud and fraudulent use of your personal information. During fraud prevention investigations, we may share information with the agencies that assist us, as permitted and required by US law. This information will never be used for marketing purposes. Usage is strictly assigned to assist and prevent fraud investigations.

  • Submit your name, address, state, zip code, phone number, gender, date of birth & e-mail address.
  • If you are one of our winners, we’ll use this information to contact you.
  • Contest sponsors may utilize your info based on which opt-in(s) you have selected on the contest entry pages.

In addition, we may request information regarding customer (your) preferences, such as your favorite brands or types of music. You are not required to answer these questions. However, if you do, we can better provide you with the products and services you like the best. We treat this information with the same care as we treat other information that you entrust to us, and it is fully protected by our Privacy Policy. Think about it.

Macbeth Online Newsletter

We like to keep you informed about our latest merchandise, special offers, contests, promotions & upcoming store events through our online newsletter. In order to sign up, we request your name, zip code, gender, date of birth and e-mail address. Rest assured, we will never share our subscriber list or any of our subscriber's personal information with outside parties.

Third Party Advertising
The ads appearing on macbeth.com are delivered to users by our web advertising partners.  Information about users’ visit to macbeth.com, such as number of times they have viewed and ad (but not user name, address, or other personal information), is used to serve ads to users on our website.  This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by Macbeth only and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers. 

 

Use of IP Addresses

An IP address is a computer identification number that is used any time your computer is connected to the Internet.  Web serves, the computers that “serve up” web pages, identify your computer by its IP address.  Macbeth collects IP addresses for the purposes of system administration and to audit the use of our website.  When visitors request pages from our website, our servers log the visitors’ IP addresses.  WE do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable, which means that a visitor’s session on our website will be logged, but the user remains anonymous to us.  WE can and will use IP addresses to identify a user when we feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with our Terms of Use, to protect our services, site, customers or others.

Fair Credit Billing Act

The Fair Credit Billing Act was passed by Congress in 1975. This Act prohibits your bank or credit card processor from holding you liable for more than $50 on fraudulent charges made to your credit card. If you are held liable for this charge, Macbeth will reimburse you the $50.
